Our Misson & Approach
Our Mission
To serve survivors of trauma and individuals with a history of sexual or relational violence by providing high-quality evidence-based psychotherapy, training, education, consultation, and prevention services.
Our Approach
Restoring Hope with Dignity
Joseph J. Peters Institute has a singular approach: To restore hope with dignity. It’s who we are. It’s what we do. We are dedicated to helping individuals and their families heal, within a safe environment that promotes resiliency.
We understand there is life beyond trauma and our skilled and experienced clinicians help those we serve to reach that new life.
Individuals who contact JJPI to receive services will receive a quick phone screening and will be scheduled for an intake evaluation appointment, usually within one to two weeks, to determine a course of treatment.
The psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and counselors at Joseph J. Peters Institute use a variety of evidence-based treatments that are recognized by leading authorities on treatment, such as the United States Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
