Sexual Behavior Programs (SBP)
The clinicians at the Joseph J. Peters Institute Safety & Responsibility Program are skilled in providing specialized services for individuals who have sexual behavior problems and/or who have been charged with or convicted of sexual offenses. Treatment for these individuals is provided at our Safety and Responsibility Services location, at 1211 Chestnut Street in Center City Philadelphia.
Individuals who seek treatment for sexual behavioral problems at SRP are offered comprehensive evaluations, followed by treatment modalities that are based on the Risk-Need-Responsivity framework and may include both group and individual therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, the Good Lives Model, Prolonged Exposure therapy for trauma, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma Affect Regulation: Guide for Education & Therapy (TARGET), family therapy, relapse prevention training, psycho-education modules, safety planning, and overall wellness planning.
JJPI employs evidence-based and evidence-informed practices across all of our programs and all evaluations are completed under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist with expertise in the treatment of individuals with sexual behavior problems.
