Donovan Richardson, MEd, LPC, Director, IMPACT Team

Donovan Richardson joined JJPI in 2025 as Director of JJPI's IMPACT (Intervention, Grants Management, Prevention, Admissions, Community Outreach, and Training) Team. In his role at JJPI, Donovan is responsible for leading several of JJPI’s community-based mental health programs, training, and community outreach initiatives. Working in behavioral health is a second career for Donovan; he previously worked for over 20 years in the financial services industry in various leadership roles. Donovan received his MEd in Counseling Psychology from Temple University and is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania. He has more than 5 years of clinical experience providing trauma-informed care at community mental health agencies; outpatient substance abuse treatment centers; schools; clinics; and inpatient psychiatric settings for children, adolescents, and adults. Prior to joining JJPI, Donovan worked as a clinical supervisor for a greater Philadelphia-based behavioral health provider for children and adolescents. He identifies with multicultural, social justice, and cognitive/behavioral frameworks in his work as a clinician and supervisor, is bilingual in Spanish and English, and is committed to reducing barriers to accessing quality mental health treatment. Donovan is a member of the American Psychological Association and the National Association of School Psychologists.
